Bling day at our FLA meeting is Orange!

For the FLA Friday meetings, some members have added to the fun at the social by wearing bling shoes, headgear (antenna), beads, and various items representing the nearest holiday.  With our meeting being held in October, Halloween will be “celebrated” by wearing orange accessories.  Join in on the fun at our Friday evening social with as many or as few Halloween accessories as desired.  If you would like your own bling shoes, they can be found at the following links:

You’d be amazed at how many people notice and comment on those shoes, and ask where they can buy them.  At a waiting room today, wearing a pair of neon blinking sneakers, a man in a row in front of us liked them so much he wanted to know where he could get a pair for himself. 

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, on Saturday will be recognize Breast Cancer Awareness, so the color of the day will be pink.  Pink hair, shoes, socks, bracelets, anything you have that you want to wear.

There will be a bowl with  Halloween necklaces and beads at the door when you get your meeting badge, and one with a Breast Cancer Awareness item for each attendee, so be sure to pick one of each up.  This is fun for everyone, not just the ladies.

We are serious about Lighthouses and having fun, but not serious in how we look; silliness is the name of the game.
