Spring Membership Meeting

Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, Pensacola, Florida; Friday and Saturday, June 6 and 7, 2025
Venue for the social will be the Lighthouse and for the membership meeting Sonny's BBQ, N. Navy Boulevard, Pensacola.

Fall/Annual Membership Meeting 

Cape Florida Lighthouse, Key Biscayne, Florida; Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, 2025
Venue for the social and membership meeting will be the Key Biscayne Community Center, Key Biscayne, Florida.

    The Florida Lighthouse Association invites you to join its members for a fun-filled weekend of friendship, education, and adventure in Pensacola, Florida, during its Spring 2025 Membership Meeting on June 6th and 7th, 2025!

    • Friday Social Event:

    Start your 2025 Spring Membership Meeting experience off on the right foot! Catch up with old lighthouse-loving friends and make new ones as you enjoy a light meal and sip on your favorite beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage during the FLA's After-Hours Social Event at the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum on the evening of Friday, June 6, 2025!

    • Saturday Spring Membership Meeting:

    9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (CDT)

    Learn about the FLA's recent activities and catch up on all the latest Florida lighthouse news directly from the men and women who operate and maintain the historic towers while attending the FLA's 2025 Spring Member Meeting which will be held inside the banquet room of the Sonny's BBQ restaurant located at 630 North Navy Blvd., Pensacola, FL 32507. Additional meeting activities will include:

    • Historic Presentation: Discover the unique maritime and social history of the Pensacola Lighthouse and the local Pensacola region.
    • FLA Grant Updates: Learn about recently approved grants and the FLA's ongoing efforts to support Florida's historic beacons through its Grants-in-Aid program.
    • Group Games: Enjoy group-oriented activities including lighthouse trivia, raffles, silent auctions, and more!
    • Catered Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch catered by Sonny's BBQ.
    • Saturday Tours of the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum:

    Head to the Pensacola Lighthouse and Maritime Museum after the Spring FLA Membership Meeting has ended for an afternoon of fun, learning, and adventure.

    Explore the light station's historic grounds and buildings as you talk with the museum's knowledgeable docents and climb 177 steps to the top of the iconic black and white tower to enjoy spectacular views of Pensacola Bay, local inland waterways, and the Gulf coast.

    Please be Advised: Public access to the Pensacola Naval Air Station is highly restricted. FLA members must follow the driving directions and gate entry procedures listed on the Pensacola Lighthouse's website at www.pensacolalighthouse.org.

    Order your tickets for the FLA's 2025 Spring Membership Meeting between May 5th and May 16th and get $20 off the regular-priced event ticket cost and $50 off the late-registration ticket cost! Early-bird tickets are only available from 12:00 AM (EDT) on May 5th until midnight (EDT) on May 16th.

    Virtual Saturday-Only Meeting via Zoom

    Members have the option of attending the membership meeting virtually via ZOOM. A link will be e-mailed to registrants before the meeting. The cost for this option will be $12 for members and non-members. The cut-off date and time for virtual registration is Friday, May 30th, at midnight (EDT). No Early-Bird discount is offered to ZOOM registrants.

    Members attending the FLA Spring Membership Meeting will have the opportunity to explore Pensacola's pivotal role in the birth and ongoing development of naval aviation by joining their lighthouse friends at the National Naval Aviation Museum on the morning of Sunday, June 8th, for a guided tour of this world-famous interpretive center.


    Located aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola and less than a half-mile from the base of the lighthouse, the National Naval Aviation Museum is the world’s largest Naval Aviation museum and one of the most-visited museums in the state of Florida. Share the excitement of Naval Aviation’s rich history and see more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Aviation. These historic and one-of-a-kind aircraft are displayed both inside the Museum’s over 350,000 square feet of exhibit space and outside on its 37-acre grounds.

    Explore the National Naval Aviation Museum (NNAM) in Pensacola, Florida, with a knowledgeable docent! Join our special, RSVP-only, private guided tour and delve into the fascinating history of naval aviation, from its early beginnings to modern marvels. Learn about the pilots, vessels and aircraft, that helped shape the development and growth of modern naval warfare and aviation technology. You will have the opportunity to examine restored military aircraft dating from the early days of WWI through today, inspect space vehicles on loan from the Smithsonian, and dive deep into the history of the US Navy and modern carrier operations as you tour and explore this world-famous museum.

    The tour is limited to only the first 40 registrants of the FLA 2025 Spring Membership Meeting, hosted by the Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, on a first-come, first-served basis. This tour is provided free of charge, but advance reservations are required to participate.

    * The Information Desk is located just inside the Museum's main entrance. Look for the FLA member to check in when you arrive.

    Dress Warm: The National Aviation Museum is kept cool to preserve the historic aircraft and artifacts. A light jacket or sweater is highly recommended for anyone who gets cold easily.

    The National Naval Aviation Museum is located on board the Naval Air Station Pensacola (NASP). The entrance to the Museum's parking lot is located approximately .25 miles east of the Pensacola Lighthouse at

    1750 Radford Boulevard, Pensacola, FL, 32508

    Driving Directions: Public access to NAS Pensacola will be available from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Visitors must enter via the West Gate only, which is located at the south end of Blue Angel Parkway (1878 S. Blue Angel Parkway). Please note: The following requirements must be met to enter Naval Air Station Pensacola .

    • Show Proper ID: Naval Air Station Pensacola requires visitors 18 and older to show a single government-issued identification card before entering the base. Acceptable forms of identification to enter the base include a valid state-issued driver's license, a valid US military/veteran ID, or a current U.S. Passport. Please note:  Effective May 7, 2025, all state-issued driver's licenses must be a REAL ID to be accepted.
    • Non-US Citizen Entry: Non-U. S. citizens are authorized to access the Naval Air Station but must be escorted by a U. S. citizen. Non-U. S. citizens are encouraged to visit the Frequently Asked Questions page of the National Naval Aviation Museum website for more information.

    Museum Parking: Parking is free in the main parking lot on the west side of the Museum. Parking for disabled patrons is available near the Museum’s main entrance. For motorhomes, RVs, buses, etc., there is a limited number of spaces available toward the back of the Museum parking lot near the Hangar Bay One annex. A large ADA parking area for persons with limited mobility is available close to the entrance.

    ADA Accessibility: The NNAM welcomes and accommodates persons with disabilities. A large parking area for persons with limited mobility is available close to the entrance. Wheelchairs may be checked out at no charge from the Information Desk for use in the main Museum and Hangar Bay One.

    Restrooms: Restrooms are available on the ground level in the Quarterdeck and West Wing for visitors with limited mobility. The Museum has ramps available at each minor change in level.

    Pets: Pets are not allowed inside the National Naval Aviation Museum unless they are registered service animals. Pets must not be left unattended in personal vehicles in parking lots during your visit.
